Description:

More than sixty years after the introduction of the original Series I, Land Rover unveiled the highly sought-after Heritage Edition as a tribute to its origins. Finished in the iconic Grasmere Green with a contrasting Alaska White roof, this special edition paid direct homage to the very first Land Rover of 1948. At the same time, it became one of the final special editions of the original Defender before production came to an end in 2016. As a result, the Heritage Edition quickly established itself as a desirable collector's item among enthusiasts.

The example offered here successfully brings both worlds together.

Based on a 2010 Defender 110, this vehicle was comprehensively rebuilt as a Heritage Tribute. Far more than a cosmetic conversion, it is the result of an exceptionally thorough body-off restoration during which virtually every component was renewed, refurbished or replaced.

Since completion of the restoration, the vehicle has covered only approximately 380 kilometres.

The result is a Defender that preserves the authentic character and appearance of the original while presenting itself mechanically, visually and technically to a standard rarely encountered.

Restoration

For this restoration, the vehicle was completely dismantled down to the chassis. The chassis, axles, suspension, braking system, drivetrain, bodywork and interior were either renewed, refurbished or rebuilt with particular attention to durability, reliability and quality of finish.

Only the original 2.4-litre TD4 diesel engine was retained. This powerplant has covered approximately 80,000 kilometres and was thoroughly inspected and serviced during the restoration process.

Mechanical & Technical Highlights

The restoration included:

  • Complete body-off restoration
  • Chassis, axles and suspension sandblasted and powder-coated

  • Numerous renewed interior details

Documentation & History

This Defender was built as a Heritage Tribute while remaining faithful to the design philosophy and spirit of the original Heritage Edition.

  • Extensive restoration documentation available
  • Invoices included
  • Odometer reset following completion of the restoration
  • Approximately 380 km driven since completion
  • Technical inspection valid until April 2027

Summary

The appeal of a Defender lies not only in its appearance or capabilities, but above all in the character it represents. Honest, robust and purpose-built.

This Heritage Tribute combines that authentic character with the reassurance of an exceptionally comprehensive restoration. With only approximately 380 kilometres since completion, an outstanding level of finish and a design that pays homage to one of the most beloved editions in Defender history, it represents a unique opportunity for the enthusiast seeking a no-compromise example.

A timeless icon, rebuilt for a new chapter.
