Description: A characterful Porsche 914, built on February 28th, 1972, and originally delivered new in Italy. This 914 is equipped with a 1971cc four-cylinder petrol engine producing 74 kW, paired with a manual gearbox. The displayed mileage is 52,864 km, although the Car-Pass indicates that the odometer may not be accurate.
The car was originally finished in red, but the current owner – a big fan of the 'Le Mans' style – had it repainted and fitted with a sportier look, including a roll cage and the original seats, which have recently been reupholstered in new leather. The result is a unique 914 with presence and character, ready to bring driving pleasure on winding roads or at classic car events.
The car drives, brakes, and shifts well. The only comment we can make is that second gear shifts a little stiff when the engine is cold, which is not uncommon for this type of gearbox. The car sits on new wheels with tyres in good condition and was recently serviced by The Dub Garage in Malle, Belgium, where a major service was carried out in March 2025.
While the complete maintenance history is not available, several recent invoices are present. In 2024, the car underwent a classic car appraisal and was found to be in very good condition. A certified automotive expert assigned it a value of €41,500.
The Porsche 914 has a fascinating history. Originally developed as a joint project between Porsche and Volkswagen, it was intended as an entry-level sports car. Its mid-engine layout offered excellent balance, and its distinctive Targa roofline made it instantly recognizable. This particular example moved from Italy to the Netherlands in 1996 and has been registered in Belgium since 2008.
The car will be delivered with a registration application and a valid (green) inspection certificate following the sale inspection.
